Workster is partnering with a global leader in mobility solutions to find a skilled Senior Data Scientist – Operations Research to join their team. Help shape next-generation pricing strategies by applying cutting-edge techniques like price elasticity modeling, bid price optimization, and advanced machine learning to optimize pricing decisions for millions of customers. Your work will directly drive revenue management processes and enhance the user experience. This role is based in Munich with relocation assistance as needed, in a hybrid work setting.
Operations Research Modeling: Formulate and solve complex optimization problems (linear, nonlinear, dynamic, stochastic) to maximize revenue and support key decision-making processes.
Demand Forecasting & Customer Willingness-to-Pay: Create and refine forecasting models using time series and machine learning methods to capture customer demand and willingness-to-pay.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and software developers to deploy end-to-end solutions and continuously improve analytical models.
Thought Leadership: Stay current on the latest research in revenue management, operations research, and machine learning. Industry Experience: 5+ years in data science and operations research roles, ideally within car rental, airlines, or similar travel/hospitality sectors.
Machine Learning & Forecasting: Expertise in Python for data analysis, modeling, and production deployment. Master’s degree (or higher) in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (preferred).
