Our client was founded in Japan and has grown to become one of the leading companies in the development, manufacture, and distribution of a very wide range of dental products. The company has several subsidiaries in Europe, whose development, manufacture, and distribution of products for specific areas of dentistry and dental technology round off our product portfolio. Our warehouses distribute our products throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. To drive our continuous growth in the specialized Orthodontic market segment, we are currently looking for a MANAGING DIRECTOR Orthodontics (m/f/d) EMEA at the regional group company in Germany in the southeastern part of the Ruhr region in North Rhine-Westphalia. JOB PURPOSE As Managing Director, you will assume full operational leadership responsibility for our Orthodontics business and organization, leading its continued success. Your role is to shape the company’s long-term strategy as a member of the Global Orthodontics Leadership Team, driving profitable growth, and ensuring operational excellence while fostering a culture of innovation and integrity. You will represent the company both internally and externally, securing our market leadership in the dental industry and delivering value to patients, customers, shareholders, and employees alike. We offer you A challenging position in a growing international company within a multicultural environment, offering excellent opportunities for professional development at our location in the southeastern part of the Ruhr region (and in future nearby location) We provide a competitive salary and additional benefits, including flexible working hours, company pension scheme, complimentary beverages and fruit, JobRad leasing, partnerships with various sports providers, and 30 days of annual leave The possibility to expand a growing portfolio of innovative products Full-time employment with a contract for an indefinite period RESPONSIBILITIES Assume overall responsibility as one of the company’s legal representatives, including all statutory, financial, and organizational duties Full P&L, cash flow and budget accountability, ensuring liquidity, financing and sustainable business growth Drive the strategic development of the company, especially with focus on Sales and Marketing activities: market positioning, international expansion within EMEA markets, innovation, and digital transformation Implementation of global corporate strategies at the national level Lead business development activities: identify, evaluate and execute partnerships and strategic alliances Lead, mentor and develop the local management team and foster a value-based corporate culture Ensure governance, compliance and ESG standards: regulatory compliance (e.g., MDR, ISO, GMP), risk management, sustainability and corporate governance Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: dentists and orthodontists, labs, clinics, distributors, supervisory board/shareholders Representation of the company in associations and at conferences, e.g. at industry events and trade fairs REQUIREMENTS University degree in business (MBA), dentistry, medical technology, or equivalent Several years of professional experience in the dental industry, preferably extensive leadership experience in the dental or medical technology industry Experience with full P&L responsibility Proven track record in business development and international expansion Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, quality management and compliance, especially in the dental or medical industry Fluent or native-level English and proficient German language skills; French language skills considered a plus Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent strategic and result-driven orientation Resilience, decisiveness, and assertiveness, even in times of change or crisis International experience and willingness to travel; physical location will be in the southeastern part of the Ruhr region and in the future in area around Hagen/Wuppertal/Dortmund/Cologne
