A global engineering and industrial projects organisation is expanding its procurement leadership and is seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Director (EPC / CAPEX / Heavy Industry) to lead strategic sourcing for large-scale capital projects and complex engineered systems. You will drive procurement excellence across EPC scopes, optimise high-value supplier portfolios, and ensure robust sourcing strategies for critical technical packages. Your responsibilities: Lead global procurement strategy for EPC and CAPEX categories (rotating/static equipment, electrical systems, control & automation, steel structures, civil works, and major engineering services) Manage procurement for large industrial projects from tender to execution, ensuring technical and commercial alignment Oversee high-value RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluations, supplier qualification, and contract negotiations for EPC subcontracts and framework agreements Build and mentor a high-performing procurement organisation across technical buyers, category managers, engineers, and project teams Collaborate with Engineering, Project Directors, and Construction to align sourcing with project timelines, technical requirements, and risk management Drive supplier performance, reliability improvements, risk mitigation, and CAPEX procurement transformation initiatives Your profile: 12–18+ years in procurement for EPC, heavy industry, energy, industrial plants, or large CAPEX projects Strong technical background: engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, manufacturing processes, and equipment lifecycle Proven experience managing multi-million or billion-euro project procurement Deep understanding of EPC contracting, technical subcontracts, commercial terms, and risk allocation Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills Fluent in German and English Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering; MBA or commercial qualification is a plus 📍 Location: Germany (Hybrid, flexible for senior executives)📩 Confidential enquiries / applications: Shavkat.Sadinov@supply-north.com
