The Category Specialist leads sourcing and negotiation for one or more critical categories (e.g. towers, foundations, drivetrain, logistics, or services) across MingYang’s European onshore and offshore projects. The role ensures competitiveness, supplier development, and framework agreements aligned with corporate strategy and compliance. Job Responsibilities • Develop and implement category strategies for assigned segments (cost models, supplier base, framework agreements, sourcing strategy). • Lead RFQs, negotiations, and contract execution for major packages. • Build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers in Europe • Support supplier qualification and audits with focus on NZIA, CBAM compliance. • Contribute to pricing benchmarks for core components. • Coordinate with HQ China and European subsidiaries to align sourcing requirements. • Draft and manage Framework Agreements (FWAs) and long-term service contracts. • Report category performance and savings KPIs to management. Profile & Requirements • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business. • Experience: 4–6 years in strategic procurement or category management (preferably in wind, renewables, or heavy industry). • Skills: strong negotiation and stakeholder management; deep understanding of cost structures; contract management experience; fluent English + French, German is a plus preferred. • Soft Skills: independent, persuasive, analytical, and cross-cultural communicator.
