We’re looking for an Editor-in-Chief to join fern. You’ll refine stories, explore new ideas, and ensure our content stays sharp and relevant — all while leading, mentoring, and growing the editorial team.

You’ll aid in the exploration of new topics and story ideas to keep our content fresh and relevant.
You’ll lead the editorial team both personally and professionally — mentoring, supporting, and recruiting new talent.

Several years of experience in journalism – ideally in video journalism.
You speak and write excellent English. Writing and overseeing English fern scripts comes naturally to you.
Experience in editorial leadership or managing larger editorial projects.
Experience with YouTube.
English is your mother tongue (or at least C2).

Work anywhere – We are a remote team with employees around the world. This means you are free to work from anywhere with a good internet connection.
For each established creator that we invest in, we will provide both the cash and production support for an emerging creator to produce and distribute a video that tells an important story linked to one of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We actively encourage your involvement in these projects.
