With offices across the USA and Europe, Nova Sky Stories is an international company working with the world’s greatest venues, brands, and events. 📱 Follow us: About this role: As Engineering Program Manager , you’ll sit at the intersection of creativity, technology, and execution, leading cross-functional engineering projects that power Nova Sky Stories’ global drone-show operations. You’ll oversee the end-to-end development and delivery of technical programs, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and creative goals. Working closely with our engineering, creative, and production teams, you’ll drive clarity, alignment, and accountability across multiple concurrent initiatives, helping to bring spectacular ideas from concept to sky. As an Engineering Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for: Lead planning and execution of complex engineering programs from concept through delivery, ensuring all projects meet timelines, budgets, and technical objectives. Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, flight operations, and creative design to align deliverables and dependencies. Develop and manage detailed program schedules, risk assessments, and status reporting for stakeholders and leadership. Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks throughout the program lifecycle. Support system integration and testing, ensuring high standards for safety, reliability, and scalability in all flight systems. Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and cross-team collaboration. Interface with external vendors, manufacturing partners, and regulatory authorities as needed to support program success. You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience in engineering program or project management, ideally in aerospace, robotics, hardware, or live-event technology. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with technical depth. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Demonstrated experience using modern program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Jira, Asana, or equivalent). Passion for innovation and an ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Nice to have: Experience in UAV, drone, or robotics industries. Familiarity with aviation safety, drone operations, or regulatory compliance. Technical understanding of embedded systems, networking, or real-time control systems.
