For our Battery Energy Storage Systems business ( BESS ), which is providing Commercial & Industrial and large storage systems, we are looking for a Solution and System Expert (f/m/x) Battery Storage. For BESS, we specialize in solutions that serve a multitude of applications in utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. Our solutions are utilized for electric vehicle charging and renewable energy integration, both on- and off-grid, among others. About the job: The role is based in Büdingen (near Frankfurt am Main). Homeoffice is offered with the preferred region near Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen or Essen. Regular travelling to our R&D center in the Netherlands and to customers is required. What will your daily responsibilities include in this role? Being part of the support team for Battery Storage (BESS) system and solution business. Support our European Sales team in large-scale battery storage projects (1–50 MW) Provide technical and organizational guidance through the early phases: planning, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover Act as the bridge between Sales, engineering, production, and service Collaborate with external partners such as EPCs, construction firms, grid operators, and suppliers Contribute to the development of technical concepts, system designs, and grid connection solutions Prepare and maintain essential technical and sales documentation Participate in improving our processes and knowledge sharing across teams What we ask for: You have a master's degree in electrical engineering and information technology, energy technology, industrial engineering or comparable Deep understanding of energy storage systems You have at least 5 years of experience as a sales engineer or from a similar role, spanning both technical and commercial areas. You have excellent communication and presentation skills Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
