Our current clinical focus is gynecology, partnering with MIGS teams on endometriosis, fibroids, and complex pelvic disease, all high-need conditions. This foundation expands into all soft-tissue surgery, which is the largest market in surgical technology. Role Overview As the Clinical Research & Partnerships Associate , you will support clinical pilots, coordinate with hospitals, assist with study readiness and IRB processes (with guidance from internal MDs/PhDs), track endpoints and data collection, and contribute to scientific outputs with XENA’s clinical advisors. You will work closely with surgeons, PhDs, and partner institutions to ensure clinical collaborations run smoothly, generate high-quality data, and produce real evidence for our AI models. This role sits at the intersection of clinical execution, research coordination, and institutional relationship management. This is an early-career, high-visibility role with regular travel to world-class US academic medical centers. What You'll Do Clinical Studies, Pilots & IRB Readiness Coordinate study setup and execution with PIs, surgeons, and research teams Prepare IRB-ready materials and track submissions with site IRB offices (guided by XENA’s MDs/PhDs) Keep sites study-ready : MRI acquisition, case collection, endpoint capture, and documentation Monitor sites remotely or on-site to ensure alignment with protocols and good clinical practice Maintain study documentation, reports, and training materials for partner institutions Data Governance Coordinate secure MRI data transfer workflows Ensure proper de-identification, metadata consistency, and dataset logging Maintain accurate records for XENA’s dataset pipeline across all sites Endpoint Management Work with surgeons and scientific advisors to define study endpoints Ensure consistent capture across all institutions and pilots Prepare structured summaries for internal analysis and publications Scientific Communication Contribute to abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and white papers Prepare clear clinical summaries for internal, scientific, or commercial use Share study insights with product and engineering teams and support application of findings Partner Coordination Act as day-to-day liaison with top US/EU academic medical centers Support medical advisory board meetings and ensure clear follow-through Build strong, proactive relationships with surgeons, research staff, and internal teams to maintain smooth study progress and high partner engagement Experience & Skills 0–3 years in clinical research, study coordination, or scientific/medical affairs (Master’s or PhD counts toward experience) Strong written communication for protocols, summaries, and scientific documentation Comfortable working with surgeons, PIs, and hospital research teams Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple institutions and timelines Familiarity with medical terminology, basic GCP principles, and clinical workflows Ability to support scientific leaders (MDs/PhDs) on endpoint discussions without owning research design — through documentation, summaries, and clear communication Why This Role Matters You will help operate and grow one of the most important data engines in surgical AI: 50,000+ clinically curated data assets 5,000+ MRI-based surgical cases added annually Your work directly drives: Improved patient outcomes Lower surgeon cognitive load More efficient hospital workflows Higher surgeon trust Stronger scientific evidence Validated AI across specialties This is a ground-floor role shaping how XENA generates clinical evidence as we scale into the largest market in surgical technology.
