The company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs , Avinav Nigam (ex-P&G, Cars 24, Hotstar, Naspers & Immo) and Krishna Ramkumar (ex-BCG, Avanti Fellows, Urban Company & Loadshare) - both of whom have helped generate $10B+ in enterprise value in their previous entrepreneurial/ leadership roles. TERN has raised over €25M in venture funding from leading investors that have backed companies like Revolut, Airbnb, DeliveryHero etc. It is also backed by several high profile angel investors including Lord David Prior (ex-Chairman of the NHS-UK & Chair of the Care Quality Commission), CEO of Axa Healthcare etc. About the Role TERN Group is building a scalable M&A engine to consolidate the German care-at-home market. As a Working Student – M&A Analyst, you will support sourcing, evaluating, and qualifying potential acquisition targets. You will work directly with the M&A Lead and use financial analysis, CRM tools, and AI-driven automation to turn fragmented market data into actionable deal opportunities. Key Responsibilities Deal Sourcing & CRM Management • Support automated sourcing from platforms (e.g., Proxdeal, Pflegemarkt.com, DUB.de). • Maintain and enrich data in HubSpot CRM (deduplication, quality checks, integrations). Financial Analysis • Review BWAs, annual financial statements, and key KPIs. • Assist in basic financial modelling and scenario analysis. AI & Automation Support • Use tools such as GPT, OCR, or Python to extract financial and operational data from PDFs. • Help automate data pipelines for revenue, EBITDA, headcount, and quality metrics. Deal Evaluation & Reporting • Contribute to deal scoring, pipeline tracking, and weekly dashboards. • Prepare short summaries, deal memos, and valuation snapshots. Requirements • Current student in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field. • Strong skills in Excel/Sheets (lookups, pivots, basic modelling). • Understanding of BWAs and SME financial statements. • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) or automation tools (Zapier, Make.com) is an advantage. • Interest in M&A, corporate finance, or healthcare services. • Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data. Preferred • Prior internship experience in M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, or Healthcare. • Familiarity with German healthcare frameworks (SGB V/XI) is a plus.
