Whether it's the central emergency call system, the Online Access Act (OZG) or the defence against cyber attacks - as the central IT service provider, the State Office for Data and Information (LDI) is increasingly in demand when it comes to digitalization in Rhineland-Palatinate. We work closely with ministries and authorities, such as the judiciary, police and financial administration. We are continuing to grow. For our location in Mainz, we are now looking for a Network specialist (m/f/d) Focus on network services

Reference number: AS 2024_44 THESE TASKS AWAIT YOU

You will plan, develop and implement technical and organizational concepts for central network services on an IP basis in the Rhineland-Palatinate network (rlp network). You will take on project and sub-project management. You conceptualize and manage the country's central communication components. You will ensure trouble-free operation, analyze and rectify complex error situations in the network based on various management systems. WHAT SETS THEM APART

You have training or skills and knowledge acquired through relevant professional experience or a degree in computer science or a subject with an IT focus. You have extensive specialist knowledge and in-depth experience of common computer networks (especially IPv4, IPv6) and standard network protocols (including TCP/IP). You can confidently use a Linux shell. You have knowledge and experience of IT security and network security, preferably in accordance with the IT basic protection of the BSI. If the requirements under collective bargaining law are met, a classification of tariff employees up to pay group 11 of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) is possible. THIS SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED You impress with your commitment, resilience, reliability, organizational skills and ability to assert yourself. We are looking for colleagues who work systematically and independently, think in an interdisciplinary way and are enthusiastic about contributing to the existing team. You have the ability to express yourself orally and in writing in German in line with the requirements of the position. You have the willingness and ability to continue your education and to explore new topics independently. You are willing to work overtime and to participate in a 24/7 on-call duty remotely and/or on site and to undertake business trips.
