TheManager, Cell Line Development and ProcessOptimization (d/f/m) for Cytiva is responsiblefor implementing innovative cell line development processes toadvance our proprietary cell linetechnology.
This position ispart of the Cell Line Development R&D team located in Cologneand will be hybrid. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance futuretherapeutics from discovery todelivery.
What youwill do:
RepresentR&D Cell Line Development on internal projects, effectivelycommunicating results, progress and plans with colleagues acrossdepartments.
Develop andcharacterize highly productive stable cell lines suitable for theproduction of biotherapeutics within projecttimelines.
Improve cell andprocess productivity by optimizing the cell line developmentworkflow, increasing production efficiency and reducingcosts.
Evaluate andimplement new mammalian cell culture technologies to significantlyreduce the time from construct to finished clone and improvemanufacturingprocesses.
Optimization ofclone screening for the development and optimization of stable celllines suitable forproduction.
Generating andanalyzing analytical data to support product development, marketingand regulatory submissions. Evaluating genetic characterization ofcell banks using molecular techniques such as DNA sequencing andPCR. Integrating data science and modeling solutions into processdevelopment.
Ensure smoothand effective transfer of new cell line products and processes toservice development teams. Responsible for technical reports, studyprotocols, technical transfer and regulatoryaffairs.
Whoyou are:
Ph.D. or Master’sdegree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology,Biochemistry, or a relatedfield.
Multiple years ofexperience in cell line development, with predominant experience onindustrial biotherapeutics production and in-depth knowledge ofcell line development workflows andtechnologies.
Demonstratedstrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability toprovide supervision and guidance to a diverseteam.
Extensive experiencewith quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes torigorously ensure the integrity, traceability, and compliance ofcell lines.
Excellentcommunication skills for effectively representing the R&D CellLine Development team on internal projects and incross-departmentalcollaborations.
Strongconceptual understanding and ability to interpret results fromvarious cellular and molecular analytical techniques, such ascell-based assays, ddPCR, NGS, qPCR, andmore.
Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:
Experience inviral vector production
Goodunderstanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines related tocell line development for biotherapeutics, including ICH, FDA, andEMAguidelines.
