Senior Data Engineer

Your Mission

• This role is at the forefront of advancing our AI-driven endoscopic imaging solutions and developing our internal data platform
• You design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for collecting, processing, and managing medical image data and various meta data
• You develop tools and libraries to facilitate data processing tasks and improve data pipeline functionalities
• Moreover, you collaborate with machine learning engineers and MLOps engineers to understand, and implement our data requirements
• You also implement and maintain data storage solutions that adhere to regulatory standards and ensure data security and privacy
• Explore and test novel data and meta data management frameworks to improve our internal data platform
• Finally, you will be closely working with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into the overall AI model development workflow

Your Talents

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience as data engineer with a strong background in AI, data pipelines, management and architecture
• Experience in working with unstructured data, particularly (medical) image and video data
• Exposure to common database technologies (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL) in the context of meta data and consent management
• Profound knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable and efficient data processing
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with relevant libraries
• Knowledge of data management and versioning frameworks such Apache Airflow, Atlas, Hudi, deltalake, lakefs, and DVC
• Good German language skills and business fluent in English
