Sustainability LeadLocation: GermanySalary: €60,000 – €100,000 + packageWe are working with a leading general contractor delivering landmark construction projects across Europe, with schemes regularly exceeding €100m in value. They are now seeking an experienced Sustainability Lead to join their team, driving environmental excellence and supporting the delivery of sustainable outcomes on high-profile projects in Germany.The Role:You will act as the sustainability subject matter expert for assigned projects, guiding teams through BREEAM, LEED, and low-carbon construction requirements, ensuring compliance, and championing the company’s sustainability strategy. Working closely with clients, consultants, and the wider project team, you will ensure environmental, social, and governance objectives are embedded into all stages of project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Act as the main sustainability contact for assigned construction projectsProvide technical advice and guidance on environmental and sustainability mattersSupport and track progress on BREEAM, LEED, and other certification targetsUndertake site visits and inspections to ensure compliance and best practicePrepare environmental and sustainability documentation (e.g. CEMPs, pollution incident response plans)Liaise with supply chain and project teams to gather evidence for certificationReport on project sustainability performance and progressChampion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the businessRequirements:Degree in environmental, sustainability, or related disciplineMinimum 3 years’ experience delivering sustainability support within the construction industryExperience with building certification schemes (BREEAM, LEED, WELL)Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and sustainability assessment toolsMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, IES) preferredFull driving licence and willingness to travel as requiredBenefits:€50,000 – €70,000 salary + packageOpportunity to work on landmark European projects valued above €100mAccommodation support if required for project locationsJoin a contractor with a strong sustainability culture and clear growth trajectoryIf you are passionate about delivering sustainable solutions and want to play a key role in major projects, we’d like to hear from you.
