German Entrepreneurship promotes innovation in companies of all sizes – from DAX-listed corporations to medium-sized companies and startups. Among others, we run German Accelerator, which specializes in international expansion and is proudly financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, as well as the Master Accelerator in Munich and are one of the co-founders of the EU-India InnoCenter, a project supported by the European Union. Since its foundation in 2008, the team has accompanied more than 730 startups on their way, including industry giants such as Flixbus, Foodora, Celonis, N26, and Signavio. In addition, German Entrepreneurship supports medium-sized companies and DAX-listed corporations in the field of corporate innovation, for example in setting up their own innovation units or corporate accelerators.

Aufgaben

For our office in Berlin, we are looking for an Assistant Program Manager for German Accelerator’s Market Discovery Program supporting German startups to explore market opportunities in China, and Kickstart International, our early-stage program equipping German startups with the necessary skills and tools needed to build a successful and scalable international business.

The candidate will support the execution of both programs.

The responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive and can include other related tasks.

Where we need your skills and support:​

  • Scout and engage with German startups that may be keen to join the programs
  • Work collaboratively with the program team and operations team to schedule the program sessions and ensure smooth execution of the program including sending invites to startups and relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare program briefs for the startups and support startups with their onboarding and participation during the program
  • Support start-ups in the understanding of the markets in their respective vertical through industry research and outreach
  • Support program teams on event management and coordination as needed
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with startups to understand their challenges and take notes of startups’ meetings with mentors / partners / companies
  • Synthesize learnings of the startups from the program, consolidate feedback from mentors and prepare individual reports for the startups​
Qualifikation

​What the ideal candidate looks like:​

  • Degree in business administration or entrepreneurship, or equivalent
  • Understanding of Chinese culture, speaking/reading Chinese is a plus
  • 1-2 years of experience working in corporates, start-ups, corporate innovation, programme management and/or accelerator programs, fresh graduates would also be considered depending on qualifications.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and German in a business context
  • Good team player and always willing to help out the team when required
  • Deep understanding of cross-culture communication and collaboration
  • Confidence in presenting to and engaging with external stakeholders
