Challenges:
For the project "The new mechatronics center" we need additional technical PMO support to ensure successful project implementation. The main objectives of this project include:
• Ensuring the ability to deliver mechatronics in the Group's plants during the planning, implementation and ramp-up phase
• Production at the new location.
• Early coordination of measures and recommendations for action for the steering committee.
• Ensuring that project targets for milestones, budget and output are met.
The requirements for a PMO include:
Project management experience in dealing with various specialist areas such as production, facility management, IT, development and investors (real estate project developers) as well as service providers for the relocation of valuable assets, etc. Extensive experience in the relocation management of a complete mechatronics production with machines and systems (company, planning and implementation). Technical competence in the area of mechatronics production and its dependencies on systems and processes is also required. This also includes logistical planning aspects, such as how to maintain delivery capability during a
move. Good knowledge of the use of IT tools: MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams - editing of DGW documents.
1. Implementation of project management, including the application and coordination of PMO methods with the project team and
especially with the respective sub-project managers
2. Creation of a detailed project overview with agreed milestones in collaboration with the project members.
3. Coordination of the roadmap for definition, testing (interface testing to user acceptance testing) and ramp-up of all IT functionalities
4. Coordination of the roadmap from application to approval of all permits necessary for construction
5. Ensuring that the interfaces between the subprojects are fully covered: e.g. process descriptions of the material flow for programming the WMS for all logistical processes through the IT subproject are available at an early stage
6. Organisation of coordination meetings, tracking of milestones and escalation in case of impending delays.
7. Planning a project attendance list to ensure the necessary capacities in the project.
8. Creation of a filing system with a project folder structure and version management for the documents, drawings, approvals and evaluations developed - again in coordination with all those involved in the project
9. Provision of current documentation or partial results from the sub-projects involved on a case-by-case basis. E.g. provision of floor plans and sections of selected hall sections if required
10. Case-by-case involvement of external partners such as appraisers, investors, lawyers, architects, authorities and service providers in the communication and provision/requirements of the current documentation
11. Preparation of decision documents for the steering committee - in very close coordination with the project managers for the respective sub-projects
12. Continuous comparison of the project status with the framework conditions of the contract with the investor.
