THE ROLE IN SHORT

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales professional who can build outstanding relationships with our customers in Germany. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing business relationships targeting prospects with a fleet size between 50 - 500 units. As a Key Account Manager, you will take the lead in the development of new business opportunities that support Michelin Connected Fleet overall growth strategy. The candidate should be sales-orientated and data-driven, wanting to get to know customers and solve their problems. The candidate will report to the National Sales Manager - Germany, receive support from the local Michelin structure and work alongside the central Business Development team.


What would your role look like:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business within the vertical market
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Michelin Connected Fleet competencies and credentials, recognising vertical market priorities, industry issues and hot topics, in addition to potential solutions and the ROI opportunities to be delivered.
  • Negotiate and close profitable contracts with new customers in line with Michelin Connected Fleet pricing policy and that any variations are duly authorised
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process; lead generations; needs analysis, value proposition, proposal negotiating, close and hand over to the Deployment Team. Ensure all contact records and account plans are maintained and kept current using Salesforce


To be successful you will likely have:

  • Live in the Rhein-Main Area and willingness to travel on business 2-3 per week and occasionally stay overnight in the area and the region.
  • Experience from B2B/ SaaS/ telematics
  • University degree, and a track record of continuous professional growth
  • Fluent/Native German
  • Fluent English
  • Highly developed strategic selling skill
