Are you ready to make a significant impact in a global role that drives business success and value creation? We seek a dynamic Manager Project Portfolio to join our high-performing team in Hamburg. This critical position within our Global Supply Chain Strategy function focuses on optimizing and managing our entire project portfolio, aligning initiatives with overarching business goals.

As the Manager of Project Portfolio, you'll be at the forefront of governance, strategy, and execution, ensuring that our global projects are aligned with our strategic objectives and deliver measurable value. You’ll lead a talented team of Portfolio Specialists, Coordinators, and Analysts, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to drive decision-making, efficiency, and innovation across our global operations.


What You’ll Do:

Lead Governance & Optimization: Implement and streamline processes for project selection, prioritization, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. You'll also establish benefit realization processes and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track portfolio health and progress.


Strategic Project Management: Develop and maintain the project portfolio roadmap, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization, assessing risks, and driving initiatives that enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.


Engage & Communicate: Build strong relationships with organisational stakeholders, providing regular updates on portfolio status, milestones, and KPIs. You’ll be a crucial link between project delivery teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.


Who You Are:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, MoP) is a plus.
  • With at least 3 years of experience in project portfolio management, you have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and a track record of managing large-scale portfolios within complex environments, ideally in the FMCG or related industry.
  • Your analytical and problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to consolidate complex information and make data-driven decisions with confidence.
  • You’re an exceptional communicator and influencer, able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership is your forte – you inspire and motivate teams, driving accountability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in portfolio and project management tools (e.g., Planview, Microsoft Project), and you have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
