We are pleased to present an exceptional career opportunity for a "Financial Controlling Manager" within the Roofing + Waterproofing Division of a leading manufacturer of high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions, boasting 20,000 employees worldwide. This is an international, fast-paced, and rapidly expanding company.


The Roofing + Waterproofing division boasts a dedicated team of nearly 2,000 professionals spanning across 30 countries worldwide, with operations encompassing 18 state-of-the-art industrial plants.


This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility of working three days from the office located in Wiesbaden, Germany.


Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director Germany and functionally reporting to the Europe Finance Director, you will oversee various essential functions, including controlling, accounting, financial statements, management report preparation, cash flow management, taxes, and insurance, as well as ensuring the effectiveness and development of the local finance team. This role presents a unique opportunity for you to make a substantial impact and contribute to our ongoing success and expansion.


Responsibilities:

• Managing professional responsibilities in finance and accounting, particularly in controlling, accounting, financial statements, management report preparation, cash flow management, taxes, and insurance.

• Preparing monthly and annual financial statements, including all preparatory and follow-up work, group reporting, intercompany reconciliation, result commentary, and management report creation in coordination with the management board.

• Compiling the local profit and loss statement (P&L report) and coordinating the annual budget with sales and management.

• Ensuring smooth processes in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment transactions.

• Conducting budget controlling, monthly forecasting, result forecasts, and variance analyses.

• Regularly preparing reports, statistics, evaluations, and responding to ad hoc inquiries.

• Managing liquidity and cash flow, as well as overseeing accounts receivable and credit management.

• Handling VAT returns and communications with authorities.

• Serving as a point of contact for economic and tax auditors, tax consultants, insurers, banks, authorities, and offices.

• Acting as the liaison for the group and parent company regarding accounting, controlling, personnel management, tax, and legal matters.

• Managing fleet operations and overseeing all office matters, serving as the primary contact for external service providers.

• Managing contract agreements for customers, suppliers, and service providers.

• Handling human resources tasks, including payroll accounting, vacation planning, contract and certificate preparation, job advertisements, and conducting job interviews in collaboration with management.

• Serving as the main contact for all IT-related matters.

• Managing ERP systems and ensuring accurate master data maintenance.

• Providing professional and disciplinary leadership to one employee.


Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor's in business administration with a specialization in finance/accounting or equivalent commercial training with additional qualifications as an accountant

• 5+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting

• Strong knowledge of controlling and accounting principles

• Experience with international group accounting, including transfer pricing and consolidated P&L statements

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP (preferably Navision)

• Excellent proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Initial experience in leadership roles
