Summary:

The Alternate Program Manager will provide a program manager, stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany or Vicenza, Italy, who shall be responsible for the performance of the work, contract compliance and quality control. The Alternate PM shall act for the contractor when the Program Manager is absent. This role will have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract. The person shall be available between 0800 and 1700 (local time), Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Assist the Program Manager in planning, organizing, and executing projects from initiation to completion. This includes defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, alignment of goals, and efficient utilization of resources. Facilitate team meetings, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns that may arise during project execution. Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project success and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively monitor project progress, anticipate challenges, and implement contingency plans as needed. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors. Keep stakeholders informed about project status, milestones, and key decisions, and address any feedback or concerns in a timely manner. Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and allocating resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization. Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend adjustments as necessary. Ensure that projects adhere to established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Conduct regular reviews, audits, and evaluations to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Track record of providing efficient, effective operational / program management execution Experience in providing accurate program reporting/tracking Ability to identify and escalate contractual issues Track record of efficient, effective program management and execution Expert communicator who promotes constant open and honest communication Knowledgeable of techniques to anticipate and resolve program inefficiencies Must be able to adjust to changes in priorities, schedules, and budget to ensure program outcomes A strong sense of urgency and ability to manage deadlines Ability to build relationships The ability to operate at the senior level; influence, negotiate and close Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, experience providing presentations to large groups Proficient Microsoft Office user (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word a must)

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 6 - 8 years of prior relevant experience Experience in maintaining and executing program/complex project schedules Proven experience in project management or program coordination, preferably in a fast-paced environment Ability to pass the National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field A project management professional certification is preferred
