Position Summary:


As a Lead Systems Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of mechanical, electronic, and software systems/devices/plants. Your expertise in systems engineering and architecture will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive experience in the field, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design and implementation of mechanical, electronic, and software systems/devices/plants in the medical or consumer industries.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system architectures, and develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Utilize your expertise in systems engineering to design, model, and analyze complex systems using SysML or functional-structural modeling.
  • Oversee the integration of mechanical, electronic, and software components, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Drive the requirements engineering process, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals.
  • Apply your knowledge of model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop efficient and scalable system architectures.
  • Incorporate functional safety (FuSi) and data protection (security) measures into the system design.
  • Utilize simulation tools and techniques to validate system performance and optimize design decisions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the mechanical, electronic, or software systems engineering field, with at least 3 years in an architect leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with modeling systems using SysML or functional-structural approaches.
  • Proficiency in M-CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo, or E-CAD software like Altium Designer.
  • Knowledge of software development practices is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with requirements engineering (RE), model-based system engineering (MBSE), functional safety (FuSi), and data protection (security) concepts.
  • Experience with simulation tools for system validation and optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in German at least at a good B2 level or better.

We offer a competitive salary range of 75,000 to 90,000 euros, depending on experience. This position is based in either Frankfurt or Munich.
