Procurement Lead – Capital Projects

A well-established international organisation delivering complex engineering and infrastructure projects is strengthening its procurement function and is seeking a Procurement Lead to support multi-disciplinary project portfolios across Germany.This role sits within a project-driven environment where procurement plays a critical role in enabling delivery, managing commercial risk, and supporting long-term value creation across capital investments.Your responsibilities:Lead end-to-end procurement activities for engineering services, technical subcontracting, and project-based work packagesDevelop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with complex project portfolios and business objectivesManage RFx processes, supplier pre-qualification, tender evaluations, and contract awards in collaboration with internal stakeholdersLead commercial negotiations for high-value and complex service contractsPrepare commercial evaluations, recommendations for award, and approval documentationCoordinate contract handover to project execution and subcontracting teamsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvementMonitor procurement markets and identify opportunities for optimisation, risk mitigation, and innovationYour profile:5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within engineering, construction, EPC, or industrial project environmentsProven experience procuring engineering services or project-based subcontracting scopesStrong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex commercial discussionsAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, project, commercial, and legal stakeholdersFluency in English and German B2 Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar)Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management capabilitiesDegree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a comparable discipline📍 Location: Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg (Hybrid working model)If you’re looking for a role where you can lead procurement activities within complex project environments, influence strategic sourcing decisions, and work closely with technical stakeholders, this opportunity offers long-term impact and professional growth.📩 Interested?
