Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, has recently been acquired by one of the world’s largest renewable energy investment funds. This acquisition strengthens the company’s financial position and provides an excellent foundation to pursue new opportunities and expand within the German market.


The Opportunity:

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Project Development to lead our client’s project development activities in Germany. This key role will drive the success and growth of PV and BESS projects, placing the company at the forefront of renewable energy innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire project development lifecycle for PV and BESS projects.
  • Oversee and guide a team of project managers and developers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Identify and assess new project opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, engineering, and legal, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as investors, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and drive continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project development in the renewable energy sector, specifically in PV and BESS (wind candidates will also be considered).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the German renewable energy market and regulatory landscape.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with a keen eye for new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
