BYK, as part of the ALTANA Group, is a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals. Our innovative BYK additives improve scratch resistance and surface gloss, the mechanical strength or flow behavior of materials, and properties such as UV- and light stability or flame retardancy.

Manager Global Controlling Business Processes & Applications (m/f/d)
Location: Wesel near Düsseldorf ResponsibilitiesExciting opportunities await you – As the Manager for Global Controlling Business Processes & Applications, you will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing the controlling processes at BYK. Acting as the divisional process expert in Controlling and as the global SAP CO key user, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global standards, methods, and guidelines. In addition, you will:
  • Lead and manage projects in the area of controlling for SAP implementation, carve-out, migration and integration
  • Optimize and develop the divisional SAP CO template (BYK Controlling / Finance Template)
  • Collaborate with the Controller community as well as cross-functional process owners and super users worldwide
  • Define and harmonize global Controlling processes and master data
  • Organize workshops and trainings for local SAP key users
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the global Controlling community
  • Work with the Global Finance Template team and IT
RequirementsWith this profile, you convince us – To succeed in this role, you should be a business graduate (ideally with a major in finance, controlling or IT) with at least five years of experience in consulting, controlling, or IT within a manufacturing company. Additionally, you bring:
  • Profound knowledge of SAP R/3, especially CO, as well as experience with SAP-FI, PP, SD and MM
  • SAP BW skills and experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Project experience and track record in international controlling or IT projects
  • Experience as a sub-project lead in controlling or IT projects
  • Excellent understanding of processes and interfaces, especially regarding value flows and posting logic
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a highly intercultural environment
  • A positive, motivating and inspiring attitude
  • Willingness to travel
