Data Governance Management Lead

Who we arelooking for:
We are looking for a DataGovernance Management Lead, who will be responsible for a team ofData Experts to manage and ensure compliance with BCBS 239requirements for Business functions ERM (Enterprise RiskManagement) and Finance.
The role will lead the SSBIFinance and Risk Governance Management team and will be thedelegate for SSBI Finance (CFO) and ERM (CRO) in all related BCBS239 committees, internal and external, to ensure all requirementsare in alignment with internal Data Governance policy andframework. The team will work in close collaboration with ERM andFinance Metric / Report owners, data stewards and Business dataowners.
High data quality is the basis ofdata-driven business processes and models, essential in seeing thetrue picture of the ongoing activities and risks, and enhancingeffective risk management and decision-making. Data qualityimprovement efforts are an important part of the datagovernance.
What you will beresponsible for:
The successful candidatewill:
- Lead the SSBI DataGovernance Management Team and represent SSBI Finance CFO and ERMCRO in related committees for BCBS 239topics
- Day-to-day management and coaching ofall direct reports.
- Lead Project Management forall BCBS 239 report and metric related implementations andenhancements within the global dataarchitecture
- Drive the change by helping totransform ERM's and Finance's risk data aggregation and reportingprocesses together with metric and report owners and corporatefunctions
- Ensure and guide consistentimplementation of internal Data Governance policy and framework forERM and Finance SSBI GmbH
- Establish a SSBI BCBSData Governance change process for BCBS related changes to reports,metrics and related Governance in line with State Street policies /frameworks
- Lead and manage the transformationprogram of the risk data aggregation and reporting processincluding data lineage and data quality implementation inCollibra
- Ensure Data Provider / ConsumerAgreements are all in place for SSBI and in line with globalpolicy
- Work with the Data Governance Leads andBusiness Data Owners across the organization to ensure open endeddata issues are addressed and managed in compliance with globalinternal and externalstandards
What wevalue:
These skills will help you succeed inthis role:
- Strong leadershipexperience within a global Bank or FinancialInstitution
- Experience in Financial Servicesand Data Governance, preferably within the context of Bankingand/or Financial Risk
- Broad knowledge ofInformation Technology / Data Management in Banking with workingexperience as an engineer, business analyst or projectmanager
- Appreciation for the value of data intechnology systems and the need for governance and controls arounddata, prior experience in data managementpreferred
- Experience with Collibra would be abig plus
- Past experiences in BusinessIntelligence (BI) Reporting Tools (Spotfire, Power BI, etc.) orwith Business / IT controls, a valueadded
- Strong interpersonal, organizational,communication and presentationskills.
- Experience working in a matrixorganization. Ability to develop/manage relationships at all levelsand to effectively collaborate with corporatefunctions
- Strong communication skills, bothwritten and oral
- Demonstrated strong analyticalabilities and reasoning skills with attention todetails
- Team player in a fast-paced,high-energyenvironment
Education& PreferredQualifications:
- Bachelor'sor Master's degree in finance, economics, or related field with aproven affinity to financial services
- At least15 years of experience in roles related to Data Governance and DataManagement, ideally within Finance or Riskareas
- Proven people managementexperience
- Data Architecture experience wouldbe a strong asset
- Ability to multi-task andwork under tight deadlines with multipledeliverables
