About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Data Governance Strategist, focusing on ensuring BCBS 239 compliance and driving data quality initiatives within our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all data management and governance activities align with BCBS 239 principles and guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Data Quality Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality, leveraging expertise in data analytics and problem-solving to drive business value.
  • Vendor Management: Foster strong relationships with outsourced service providers, defining and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that meet regulatory expectations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring mechanisms to track vendor adherence to BCBS 239 requirements, providing regular reports to internal stakeholders on compliance status.
  • Culture Transformation: Collaborate with teams to promote a culture of data excellence, driving awareness and adoption of best practices across the organization.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services, with a strong background in BCBS 239 compliance and data management.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of BCBS 239 principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into actionable insights.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving results-oriented solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business, Information Technology, or Finance.
