Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Containerization Administration Specialist role located in Greater Munich Metropolitan Area. The Containerization Administration Specialist will be responsible for managing, deploying, and administering containerized applications. This role involves working with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration, and requires experience with automation and scripting. The Containerization Administration Specialist will be responsible for administration tasks, supporting and troubleshooting production environments.


Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl)
  • Experience with Linux systems administration
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and security protocols
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Saltstack, Chef, Puppet)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment


Requirements/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Docker containers
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Knowledge of container monitoring tools
  • Implementation of CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience with Jenkins / Harbor
  • Knowledge of VLANs, routing, zoning, subnetting, interfaces config, rules, port configurations, troubleshooting, ACL’s and clustering to administration level in regards to Containers
  • Knowledge of DNS and Load balancer
  • Optional knowledge of  BMC Helix architecture
  • General skills such as writing of documentation
  • A willingness to learn new skills (including studying in their own time)
  • The candidate should also be able to speak and write in English
  • Security check (Ü2) available or willing to go through the process to acquire it
  • Willingness to acquire relevant certifications
  • Willingness to work in a rotation system (to cover the service hours) and to work outside working hours (usually one Saturday per month)

 

Fluency in English (written and spoken), basic knowledge of German would be desirable

Due to special national compliance requirements, it is necessary to undergo advanced security clearance and only specific nationalities are accepted (Eurofighter Customer and Production Countries like IT, SP, UK, DE).
