Climate Tech Start up
We are currently looking for a highly ambitious Process Engineer to join a climate technology start-up focussed on developing ground-breaking tech solutions to combat climate change with a strong focus on marine transportation. They are currently working on a ground-breaking e-methanol plant which is patented and are looking to expand their current operations.
The role
You will be leading end-to-end project responsibilities from engineering to operations for the validation of the client plant in Mannheim while spearheading R&D initiatives to enhance intellectual property and ensuring these innovations contribute to the conceptual design of commercial plants: other responsibilities include:
- Development of a new reactor technology or developing a machine learning model for the pilot plant
- Validating the technology in lab- or pilot-scale: conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering as well as construction and operation using internal and external resources.
- Translate insights of latest R&D developments into conceptual design
- Contribute to conceptual design and feasibility studies
The Person
The Process Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Education in Process Engineering or related fields.
- Experience leading engineering projects in industrial settings.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations as well as experience working with regulatory and environmental authorities.
- Experience in designing block flow diagrams, e.g., Aspen modeling software.
- Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and other engineering software, e.g., Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of HAZOP.
- Fluency in verbal and written German and English.
- Functional expertise in civil engineering and automation.
