Jewelry for brilliant women. Valerie Messika created her eponymous brand in 2005 transforming diamonds into Jewelry that has the knack of making your heart stop and your eyes sparkle. Valerie Messika is the heir to her father's history, André Messika, a leader in the diamond trade industry. Messika is now distributed in more than 500 points of sales in around 90 countries.


Messika is hiring a Area Sales Manager DACH based in South Germany.


The Goal:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in executing the commercial strategy, ensuring brand compliance, and maximizing sales performance across existing and new points of sale.


What you do?


Sales:

  • Applies the commercial strategy and supports the activity on a daily basis with the existing partners: commercial responsiveness, compliance with the positioning of the brand, maintenance of a representative assortment and development of their performance by monitoring sell-outs, development of sales staff performance (regular training, incentives, etc.).
  • Prospecting and opening of new points of sale in line with the strategy defined by the Country Manager.
  • Ensure continuous presence on the field by visiting all points of sale.
  • Close collaboration with the Sales Administration department in HQ and the company's other support departments (logistics, legal, financial).
  • Management of partners' financial assets closely with HQ Financial Department.
  • Annual budgeting (sell-in, forecasts) by customer to define with Country Manager.
  • Permanent market study and reporting to Country Manager.


Marketing & Communication:

  • Applies the Marketing plans with partners, with the support of the Marketing Department in HQ and in line with the defined yearly budget.
  • Follows up on trade marketing actions and performance reporting to Country Manager and HQ.
  • Conduct market research regarding potential customers, market trends, prices, competitors, and other relevant market information for current or future product/collection launches.


Visual Merchandising:

  • Ensure the visual expression in retail stores is in line with corporate visual merchandising guidelines in close relation to local Visual Merchandising and HQ Paris.


Finance / Legal:

  • Assist the Finance department in headquarters with customer payment issues, including optimal and constructive communication with retailers.
  • Ensure implementation of authorized retailer agreement contracts with all customers.


Collaboration and Reporting to HQ:

  • Market distribution strategy analysis to Country Manager: competition situation, new distribution channels, new opportunities, etc.
  • Marketing actions reporting to Country Manager: post coop-events or any other marketing/sales actions debriefings.


Basic Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the jewelry/watches sector
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills with strict attention to detail
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment.
