- Lead and manage thevertically structured and cross-departmentally integratedmanufacturing engineering teams, providing guidance, mentoring, andtraining to ensure the team’s successful professionalgrowth.
- Develop and drive the maturity of keyprocesses, fixture designs, material handling, bondingtechnologies, manufacturing methods, packing, safety protocols,stabilization and maturity of standards and key KPI performance andguidance metrics.
- Collaborate withcross-functional teams, including design engineering, production,and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products orprocesses.
- Develop and implement manufacturingprocesses to optimize production efficiency, quality, andsafety.
- Manage and oversee the implementationof new equipment, technologies, and automations to enhancemanufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
- Workclosely with product development to guide and support an optimaltransition from design to operations by implementing Design forManufacturing and stabilityprotocols.
- Translate the company goals into avalue stream chain and report the progress to superiormanagers.
- Leverage lean methodologies, businessacumen, and critical thinking to effectively scale and processimprove workflows.
- Responsible for the finalmanufacturing documents such as BOM, Work Instructions, test plans,PFMEAs, Engineering Change Orders, IQ, OQ, PQ,etc.
- Drive the team’s direction towardsachieving goals while managing headcounts, training, and futuredevelopment.
- Define and manage a capitalinvestment plan based on KPIs such as ROI, future expansion, andstrategic goals.
- Take ownership for the healthand safety of your employees by implementing adequatemeasures.
What you bringwith you
BASICQUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of workexperience in the industrial manufacturing sector, preferably inserial/mass production.
- Bachelor’s degree inengineering or manufacturing field.
- Previousexperience leading and developing ateam.
- Previous experience in productionmanufacturing and related areas such as SMT manufacturing, CNCmanufacturing, assembly, metrology, andcoating/bonding.
- Strong critical thinkingskills and the ability to question the status quo while maintainingprescribed quality standards.
- Proven ability toplan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency andproductivity while implementing leanpractices.
- Ability to streamline or implementstructures that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidlyshifting business demands.
- Interest in shapinga growing company in the cutting-edge sector of laser communicationwith strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legalguidelines.
- Good communication skills toeffectively apply your leadership skills. Proficiency in German andEnglish is preferable.
PREFERREDSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years ofdirect experience in technical high-volumemanufacturing.
- Excellent computer skills(email, Microsoft Windows, ERP/MRP/MES systems, iOS, executingcustom developed software).
- Provide process anddesign improvement suggestions.
- Ability toadapt to constantly changing work assignments and a fast-paced workenvironment.
- Effectively communicate (verballyand written) with engineering andproduction.
- Foster a team environment throughcollaborative leadership. Experience bringing teams and processesfrom development to production isdesirable.
- Knowledge of high cleanlinessprotocols.
