As they continue to expand our operations, they are seeking a talented Senior Gas Market Analyst to join their dynamic team.


Job Description: Seeking an experienced Senior Gas Market Analyst to join their trading desk and play a pivotal role in their success within the natural gas market. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, a deep understanding of gas markets, and proficiency in trading systems. Knowledge of Python programming is highly desirable.


As a Senior Gas Market Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing market data, devising trading strategies, and providing invaluable insights to enhance trading decisions. This role demands a comprehensive grasp of market fundamentals, trading dynamics, and risk management principles.


Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze market data and trends to identify lucrative trading opportunities in the natural gas market.
  2. Develop and implement quantitative models and tools to support trading strategies and optimize trading performance.
  3. Monitor market fundamentals, encompassing supply and demand dynamics, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors.
  4. Collaborate closely with traders and fellow analysts to refine trading strategies and mitigate risks effectively.
  5. Conduct extensive research and analysis to foster the development of innovative trading strategies and initiatives.
  6. Maintain and enhance trading systems and tools, including data visualization platforms and algorithmic trading models.
  7. Effectively communicate market insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  8. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to ensure a competitive edge in the market.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in gas market analysis or energy trading.
  3. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of gas market dynamics.
  4. Proficiency in trading systems and platforms.
  5. Knowledge of Python programming is highly desirable.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
  8. Fluency in English and German is preferred.
