Spare parts and Commodity Procurement Engineer

*This position requires a 1.5 to 2 years training in TSMC HQ, Taiwan.



ESMC, a newly established subsidiary of TSMC is looking for a Spare Parts and Commodity Procurement Specialist to join our first semiconductor manufacturing fab located in Dresden, the capital city of the German state of Saxony. ESMC’s Spare Parts and Commodity Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, contract negotiations and issuing the PO (purchasing order) to suppliers for spare parts and general affairs for HR (human resources) and other field at lowest possible cost. Develop supply chain strategies, manage, and optimize supplier base. Primary responsibility for developing and managing multi-source, global supply chain solutions to support internal business units and our external suppliers. Intense, cross-functional collaboration across the enterprise, managing processes and structures designed to ensure reliable sourcing of critical services and materials while mitigating risks in business continuity and product availability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead spare parts procurement and optimize supply chain management processes.
  • Develop strategic plans for commodity procurement activities and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement procurement methodologies, refine process flows, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead contract negotiations and oversee the issuance of purchasing orders.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of internal customer requirements and conduct vendor research to meet organizational needs.


Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in electronical engineering, industrial engineering, engineering related fields, or MBA.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated working attitude.
  • Highly skilled problem solver and issue-resolution champion.
  • Attention to detail and able to multi-task.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with demonstrated abilities to conduct cross functional engagement.
  • Strong negotiation skills - able to forge strong relationships and maintain credibility internally and with suppliers.
  • A proven track in project management will be a plus.


Must have experience:

  • At least two years of working experience, with background in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing or automotive industries is preferred.



Language Skills: Fluent English and German is required.


Location: Dresden, Germany.
