Engineering Lead
Location: Berlin/Remote across Germany
Start date: ASAP/Negotiable
Thryve has just partnered with an innovative Saas company focused on the smooth-running’s within laboratory settings.
They are renowned in the space of laboratory software, partnering with established names such as Tecan, IBB Ventures & Fielmann.
Now looking to onboard a skilled Engineering Manager to aid the development team in developing & delivering their flagship products
Responsibilities:
- Understand the complexities of a system that automates, collects data, controls, and monitors laboratory devices at scale.
- Ensure the system is performant, scalable, and traceable.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the entire system, including devices, edge computing hardware, API servers, background workers, message bus, databases, and everything in between.
- Utilize this comprehensive understanding to troubleshoot user problems and develop effective technical solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical experience, 2+ years minimum with team management
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Kubernetes
- Team player
- Experience working with a product that processes real-time large scale data
- Experience with static analysis tools (e.g., linter, formatter, code coverage analysis)
- Effective teacher/mentor
Bonus:
- Industry experience with either Chemistry, Pharma, Device Manufacturer
- Experience working in an agency/consultancy or freelancing.
