What you will be doing


As the Outside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, primarily through acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships. You will play a key role in representing Rhenus Air & Ocean, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored logistics solutions that meet their business objectives.   • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in Germany.
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients within the logistics and supply chain sectors. Conduct market research to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by providing excellent service and support. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our logistics services.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the customer.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market demands.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management, detailing progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.


What skills & experience you will bring to us


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably within global forwarding,
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Deep understanding of the logistics and transportation market in Germany, including key players, trends, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying client needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and drive.


What are some key figures for the role


  • Ideal starting date is as soon as possible
  • You will receive a permanent full-time contract with 40 hours work week
  • You will be provided with a company car (VW Passat, Skoda Octavia, BMW 1 series or equivalent). Parking is available on premise.
  • You will join us in our Office in Frankfurt, hybrid arrangements with 2 days of mobile office are possible.
  • You will have 28 vacation days per year.
