Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager's mission is to efficiently deliver allocated projects, meeting scope, timelines, and budget while aligning with business requirements for 100% satisfaction upon completion. Ensuring on-site safety and quality is of utmost importance. This role falls within the DCS Delivery Team, responsible for managing a team of Project Managers delivering expansion and new build projects across Germany. The DCS Delivery team oversees construction and infrastructure projects within Colt DCS's pan-European and APAC estate. They aspire to be the knowledge and excellence hub for data center construction and project management, providing valuable support with a punctual, creative, and 'can-do' attitude. DCS SMT teamExternal – Design consultants, Cost management consultants, Main Contractors, suppliers etc The skills and experience you would bringExperience of Delivering Construction projects preferably within the data centre industryGood knowledge of International best practice for health and safetyTechnical knowledge of construction, mechanical and electrical servicesExperience in civil, structural and architectural design and construction techniquesExperience in Design & Build Contract delivery strategiesAn in-depth understanding of the technical, procedural, contractual and commercial aspects of project delivery.Ability to manage scope, cost, programme, quality and risks to deliver business goals; a problem solver.Ability to apply due process and governance when managing complex projects from ‘end-to-end’ through all key stages from initiation to handover and closure.Ability to formulate and implement a clear strategy for project delivery through all stages.Expertise in financial management, programme management and managing project dependencies and risksAbility to provide high quality and accurate reports, programmes and cost forecasts.A high degree of project management and co-ordination skills to maximise available resources; add value; deliver to milestones; drive to closure and exceed customer expectationsExperience in managing construction projects involving complex engineering services installations.Experience of successfully delivering data centre projects involving working in live environments.Experience and understanding of procuring supply and construction contractsExperience of managing local and remotely based collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.Experience in managing customers and their fit out worksGood Microsoft Excel, Project and Word skills.Methodical and highly organisedGerman and English English speaking – Native or fluentStrong communication skills QualificationsAcademic qualifications in a relevant construction or engineering discipline.Professional qualification e.g. Construction related, chartered engineer or similarEuropean languages desirable.
