The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Capital Markets Practice as a Programme Coordination & Governance PM (PMO Function), who will initially work on a regulatory or corporate strategy implementation programme within the Global Markets business of a client in Northern Europe.
Programme Overview:
Our client, a Tier 1 Global Investment Bank, has a large Business and Regulatory transformation agenda to implement, which will impact all Business and Functions in the bank. Within the change portfolio are several large regulatory compliance and strategic change programmes that require strong management and governance to ensure successful outcomes.
Role Description:
The Programme Coordination & Governance PM will be primarily accountable for administrating and managing all artefacts and meetings required to effectively manage the delivery of a portfolio of workstreams. The role holder will need to support the preparation of documents required to hold and manage meetings, perform administrative duties to manage workstream resources and support the project or programme manager(s) in tracking and managing the workstream deliverables and reporting into the Programme Manager.
The successful candidate will hold most or all the following responsibilities:
- Supporting the programme manager to work with a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external), to define appropriate deliverables and project plans to enable completion within programme timelines.
- Produce workstream and/or programme-wide status updates in conjunction with the programme manager.
- Maintaining risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
- Managing workstream and programme delivery plans, including cost/resource forecasts and tracking delivery status.
- Preparing agendas and meeting packs for working groups and Steering Committees.
- Producing minutes and actions.
- Interfacing with the central PMO function to ensure that all PMO standards are adhered to.
- Deputising for the programme manager in governance forums when required.
Previous Experience
- The role holder will have similar prior Junior PM or Senior PMO experience
- An understanding of regulatory or strategic implementation change projects in a banking or financial market environment is required.
- Hands-on experience on Clarity PPM system will be highly beneficial.
- Work experience with one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms would be a benefit.
Role Requirements
- English (Fluent - required) – Meetings, communication, analysis, and documentation will be predominantly in English.
- German (Fluent - preferred)
- French (Fluent - asset)
- A strong communicator, both verbally and written, who can work with a wide variety of stakeholders from differing backgrounds and cultures.
- A good understanding of the project lifecycle and associated terminology (Project Methodology certification is beneficial).
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Highly organised, structured, and efficient.
- Keen, hard-working, and willing to learn new skills and techniques and understand complex subject matter.
