Are you passionate about both technology and communication? I am looking for a Technical Writer to support a global team in the wind energy industry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of critical technical documentation throughout the life cycle of wind turbine systems.Responsibilities:Develop and manage technical documentation for wind turbine systems across their entire life cycle — from transportation and installation to operation, maintenance, decommissioning, and recycling.Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Design, and Support) to ensure that technical content is accurate, clear, and easy to understand.Independently research and gather information for documentation projects while collaborating within an international team environment.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation tailored to diverse audiences. Collaborate with the design team to produce visuals and diagrams that enhance understanding.Ensure all documents comply with industry standards and best practices for technical documentation.Ideal Candidate:Strong technical foundation, either from formal education (e.g., Technical Writing, Engineering, Renewable Energy) or hands-on experience in related fields.You enjoy the challenge of working at the intersection of technical expertise and clear communication, making complex topics accessible and practical.Project management experience and familiarity with content management systems is a plus, with the ability to work independently and stay organised.Proficiency in English, with a good understanding of layout and visual design principles, and ideally, experience with tools for terminology management, illustrations, or content management.Familiarity with technical documentation standards is helpful, or the eagerness to learn.If this sounds like something of interest, please feel free to apply below or alternatively reach out to me at rmiles@optimussearch.com
