Jurist - Export ComplianceLocation: MunichOur client is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Lawyer to strengthen its global compliance function. This role involves developing and overseeing export compliance governance, ensuring adherence to international trade laws, and advising senior management on complex regulatory matters.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain a global export compliance management system (CMS).Establish and update group-wide export control policies, processes, and standards.Conduct and monitor risk analyses to identify and mitigate export compliance risks.Ensure compliance with international embargoes, sanctions, and trade regulations.Advise business units on complex export control and contractual issues.Support investigations and whistleblowing procedures related to compliance matters.Provide reports and recommendations to senior management on compliance risks and controls.Communicate regulatory updates and ensure their integration into group-wide processes.Requirements:Fully qualified German lawyer (Zweites Staatsexamen) with several years of relevant experience, ideally in an international corporate environment.Strong knowledge of national and international export control laws (EU dual-use, German Foreign Trade, US export control, sanctions law).Experience designing and managing compliance frameworks and governance structures.Analytical, structured, and self-driven working style.Excellent communication and advisory skills in both German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
