We’re in search of aTechnical Director (f/m/d) who canplay a pivotal role in creating, what we believe will be the firstMMO of its kind.
Who will you beworking with?
You will be part ofour Engineering team, responsible for bringing SEED to life throughcode. As the Technical Director, you will build a team ofengineers, facilitate communication between teams and departments,and contribute to technical product ownership. You will reportdirectly to the CTO and work closely with the engineeringmanagement team.
The Engineering team worksacross multiple locations - our Berlin HQ and our Madrid Studio butwe're looking for someone to be based in Berlin, at KlangHQ.
What will you bedoing?
- Working closelywith our CTO, Oddur, to shape and execute Klang’s engineeringstrategy.
- Translating our business strategyinto clear technical requirements while improving productivity,keeping processes lean, and ensuringscalability.
- Collaborating with our TalentAcquisition team, other department directors, and senior leadershipto drive team capacity planning.
- Championingand guiding the engineering team in applying modern developmentmethodologies to achieve our goals while fostering a culture ofcontinuous improvement andinnovation.
- Overseeing the leadership ofKlang’s Engineering team across Berlin and Madrid, and directlymanaging the Leadership team. You’ll work closely with them to setprofessional growth goals, conduct performance reviews throughoutour growth cycles, and hold regular 1:1s to ensure alignment andsupport.

- Experienceleading cross-discipline teams in both agile and live-opsenvironments.
- Successfully led a team ofleaders.
- Proven experience with scalable teamcapacity planning.
- Strong knowledge andhands-on experience with modern development methodologies such asTDD, OOD, CI, TBD, CD & DORA.
- Greattechnical domain understanding and the ability to translate companystrategy into technicalexecution.
