For our Engineering Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for a Senior Engineer – Charging and Charging Services

We want to work with a flexible and enthusiastic individual wo will be required to support the development of our European vehicles locally as well as globally - jointly with our teams in our headquarter in China.


Job Description


  • Ensure the interoperability of Chery vehicles with the European charging infrastructure
  • Ensure Chery vehicles in Europe are easy and intuitive to charge
  • Definition and implementation of requirements to fulfill EU specific customer and legal charging needs
  • Perform feasibility check evaluations of advanced charging technologies
  • Validating vehicle charging performance for AC and DC systems
  • Planning and organizing measuring equipment for BEV and (P)HEV vehicles
  • Develop and implement home charging solution for Chery Europe in all relevant markets
  • Develop and implement a public charging solution for Chery Europe in all relevant markets
  • Support rollout and secure performance of the home and public charging solution in all countries
  • Combine home charging and public charging to one Chery Europe Charge solution
  • Continuous monitoring of new charging functions (V2G, PnC, etc.)
  • Manage coordination and negotiation of further enhancement plans with Markets and 3rd party charging suppliers
  • Close collaboration with development teams in our R&D centers in Wuhu & Shanghai (China) and the Europe market related subsidiaries (Marketing, Sales, Quality) from the technical and commercial perspective

Requirements:


  • You have a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or comparable
  • You have significant (>5 years) experience in the area of high voltage EV charging development, professional product management, software or hardware management or a comparable qualification
  • You have a proven track record in technical consumer, charging or energy products
  • You have knowledge in the conception and implementation of frameworks and reusable components
  • Experience in HV systems and CAN monitoring / simulation
  • Passion for innovative technologies with an overview of the relevant market trends
  • You are willing to travel and have a valid European driving license
  • You are willing to work in an international and intercultural environment
  • You have a pro-active and self-motivated attitude
  • You are a good communicator with an open and structured mindset
  • You have good computer and presentation skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • You are fluent in English
  • Mandarin skills advantageous
