A Balyo Resident Service Technician aims, at customer premise, to ensure installation constant availability and provide support to customer operational teams. Hence he is responsible of maintenance and onsite technical support to customer production team. This is a customer-facing role which includes control, repairs, on our robots, as well as potential upgrades and retrofits. With 15 last generation Reachy robot (high bay storage solution), the installation is one of the biggest in

Europe for Balyo and represents a flagship of Balyo technology.

Position is based in Hamburg.


  • Technical support & basic user trainings to customer
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance on Balyo equipment at customer site
  • When needed robot retrofits
  • When needed, local partner engagement and follow up
  • When needed, Balyo hotline engagement and follow up
  • Intervention reports writing
  • Local spare parts inventory management (regular stock take, ordering to Balyo HQ)
  • Contribution to lesson learns and training.


Profile

  • Trained as a technician you have initial experience in maintenance or installation of complex systems.
  • Skills in electrical engineering and mechanics
  • Autonomous, good at interpersonal relations and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and safely operate lift trucks


Minimum & Desired Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor°ree in mechatronics/electrotechnics
  • Between 1 to 3 years of experience
  • AGV/robotics industry or forklift technician maintenance is an added advantage
  • Technical skills (CFT) Certified Forklift Technician desired but not required.
  • Knowledgeable with mechanical and electrical systems with troubleshooting mindset
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Ability to document findings effectively for next level escalation if necessary
  • Software programming notions (C, C++, MATLAB or Python) is an added advantage.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.

  • Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
  • Must operate with a high degree of autonomy.
