In this role you will take charge of the planning and design of our client's IT landscape, overseeing aspects such as Enterprise, Application, and Infrastructure Architecture.


This is a senior position where you will lead a team of architects and coordinate a wider architecture community, reporting directly to the Head of Software Delivery.


Location: Germany: Hybrid in Frankfurt



Key Responsibilities:


  • Spearheading the ongoing enhancement, development, and management of the IT platform for our client in Germany.
  • Implementing and refining a cohesive architectural framework and technology stack.
  • Providing expert guidance for transformation initiatives, including moving to a microservices architecture, modernising development workflows, and optimising CI/CD and operational processes.
  • Supporting the continuous professional development of staff.



Candidate Profile:


  • An experienced leader with a strong background in the IT sector, preferably with exposure to the logistics or delivery industries.
  • A degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering, or a related field, with architecture-related certifications being an asset.
  • Extensive experience in designing and managing IT architectures at an enterprise level.
  • Capable of balancing client needs, budget constraints, and long-term strategic goals, adapting plans and solutions as necessary.
  • Confident in providing strategic advice to both technical and business management teams.
  • Passionate about exploring new technologies and crafting innovative strategies, supported by strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and German (B2, C1, C2, or Native)
  • Able to work in office (Frankfurt) 1-2 times per week.
