Aquila Clean Energy EMEA is a leading European clean energy business. We deliver affordable clean energy to European consumers through innovative, technology enabled solutions. Since 2006, we've developed and operated renewable energy projects, bringing over 2.5 GW to commercial operation. Our advanced development and construction pipeline exceeds 13 GW in solar PV, onshore wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across 12 European countries.
With a dedicated team of more than 250 employees, we aim to become a major supplier of clean energy in Europe servicing corporate and private consumers. Aquila Clean Energy part of the Aquila Group. The Aquila Group is headquartered in Hamburg, and was incorporated in 2001. Aquila is dedicated to investing in sustainable assets, with total assets under management of c. EUR 14.6bn invested across renewable energy, green logistics, data centers and real estate.
For our headquarters in Hamburg we are looking for an Investment Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Focus on deal origination, execution and transaction management across all Clean Energy technologies throughout EMEA.
- Lead quantitative and qualitative due diligence, as well as the negotiation of legal documentation, on prospective investments, and existing portfolio.
- Take a role in the development of the investment strategy alongside with the senior members of the Clean Energy Investment team.
- Oversee and review valuation models, prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.
- Structure investment solutions for institutional investors.
- Conduct various tasks related to investment monitoring, product reporting, market research, internal requests and marketing efforts.
Your qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy market, preferably with a leading. investment firm, industry strategic or bank (buy-side/ sell-side, project finance, investment banking and/or consulting).
- Successful and proven track record in direct alternative investments.
- Existing network in the field of wind, PV and/or infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and result-oriented.
- Master in business, finance or investment related area.
- Business English, additional foreign languages (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Scandinavian) is a plus.
