With a robust presence across Europe and a dedication to sustainability, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Logistics to join their team in Düsseldorf. Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing the entire supply chain to ensure efficient delivery of products to the market. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives and support growth initiatives.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and other key stakeholders, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the logistics function.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Champion sustainability efforts within the logistics operations, working to minimize the environmental impact of the supply chain.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor logistics performance, drive operational improvements, and report on progress to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs and trade compliance.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within the FMCG sector, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices, including lean management and sustainability practices.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
