Hello We are Wollmilchsau GmbH, an owner-managed software company from Hamburg. We develop the Jobspreader, a solution for programmatic job advertising. We use it to help recruiters place job advertisements on job search engines automatically and on a CPC basis and, in addition to pure traffic, we also offer many features that simplify and optimize our customers' recruiting and personnel marketing.

As a data scientist with a focus on natural language processing, you will complement our two-person data team in Germany and work agilely with our Indian colleagues from the data & tech departments. You will be attached to our product management team in Germany, with whom you will work on work packages to develop brand new features for our jobspreader. Together you will further develop our skills in the areas of natural language processing and machine learning. At Wollmilchsau we work agilely in circles with OKRs and Scrum.

Your tasks:

  • You develop modern NLP systems, from prototype to deployment.
  • You support product management in the discovery and delivery for our jobspreader.
  • You advise them on the use of LLMs and machine learning in general, develop new ideas and try out new approaches.
  • You drive machine learning for our customer-facing applications as a whole.
  • You will work on a variety of exciting projects: from tools to help with the search for talent, to preparing campaign data in text form or helping our customers use the Jobspreader.


Your profile:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist NLP.
  • Proven project experience in the team.
  • Culturally open, English at C1 level and German at C2 level.
  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in computational linguistics, (business) computer science, mathematics, statistics or a comparable course of study. Relevant skills are more important than certificates or diplomas, regardless of the educational path.
  • Solid knowledge of technologies such as machine learning, large language models and natural language processing.
  • Very good knowledge of Python and common ML libraries.
  • Experience in at least one deep learning framework.
  • Solid knowledge of Prompt Engineering, PyTorch or TensorFlow as well as further knowledge of machine learning libraries.
  • Expertise in linguistic structures and NLP algorithms.
  • Initiative and independent working style.
  • Analytical thinking paired with mathematical understanding and pragmatic approach.
  • Willing to experiment.
  • Interested in agile working in circles with OKRs and Scrum.
