About the job

In your role as a Business Development Manager Process Industry (PI), you will be responsible for the integration and implementation of "new" applications in the PI segment. These applications will either be related to recent M&A projects, like primary aluminum and expendables & feeders for glass, ceramic chimneys, heat storage systems, or the development and global roll-out of applications with lower market presence or underrepresentation in specific regions. In this position you will drive product transfers and local developments, as well as develop alternative sales channels with the regional team. You will travel internationally up to 40% of your working time.

In addition, your tasks will include:

  • Leading your own team
  • Supporting the development of local sales and marketing organizations, including organizing in-house trainings
  • Supporting regional market analysis in order to gain a global market overview and roadmap preparation
  • Pre-demand / inquiry marketing (organizing conferences, webinars, customer visits, etc)

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

  • A technical university degree with focus on materials science, glass and ceramics, chemistry, or similar
  • R&D experience is considered a strong asset
  • Experience leading a team

Languages

  • English – Proficient/Fluent
  • German – Proficient/Fluent
  • Any other language is considered an asset

Work Experience

  • A few years of relevant working experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the refractory industry
