How to contribute to our vision
Responsible for the line management, planning and deployment of a team of 20-30 Apprentice wind turbine technicians to operational sites throughout the Germany Offshore & Onshore. Promotes the #Homesafe Safety Culture within the team to drive positive safety performance. Ongoing engagement with operations to ensure that resource is deployed to the right locations in the right timeframes and any changes required to the plan are implemented. All line management responsibility for the apprentice technicians including supporting their personal development, performance management & bimonthly one to ones. Ensuring apprentice technicians have the correct competencies and training to work on their home Windfarms and implement upskill/crosskill plans where needed. Support the Apprentice Operations Manager in developing the longer-term strategy for the team, ensuring we have the correct headcount and competencies to meet with the demand of the upcoming pipeline of required qualified technicians. Working closely with operational sites to monitor performance and where necessary address any issues. Building productive relationships with operational sites and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver a high-quality service. Having a regular presence on operational sites and college to develop relationships with both apprentice technicians and site/college teams. Proactive two-way communication with a remote team of apprentice technicians to ensure they are kept informed and engaged. Ensuring that all technician administrative tasks are completed correctly, in the expected manner, and agreed timeline. Responsibility for staying within budget for the cost centre and informing Apprentice Operations Manager of any significant changes. Working with the finance team on cost saving measures initiated either by yourself or the finance team. Support Apprentice Operations Manager in the implementation of agreed improvements to the program. Supporting new members of the team in their role of Apprentice Supervisory Lead. Delegate in Managers absence and attend meetings on their behalf.

Previous experience in managing people. Ability to take on new line managing responsibilities. Someone able to deal with a number of tasks at the same time. MS Office, SAP and Workday knowledge are required. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Fluency in English and German is mandatory.
