Head of Network Strategy/Manufacturing Footprint

We are seeking a strategic leader to optimize our physical infrastructure, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Key responsibilities include aligning facility locations, capacity planning, and supply chain optimization with organizational goals. Additionally, you will develop and execute risk management initiatives to ensure business continuity and implement risk mitigation strategies. Join us to drive operational excellence and resilience in our manufacturing network.

Your assignments
  • Review and Optimize Networks: Conduct comprehensive reviews and optimizations of manufacturing and distribution networks, focusing on capacity steering and carbon footprint reduction
  • Cost Reduction and Benchmarking: Perform network optimization to reduce on-site costs, evaluate "make-or-buy" decisions, and conduct internal and external industry benchmarks
  • Operational Excellence: Detail optimization efforts with high savings potential as part of the operational excellence program
  • Capacity Steering: Develop and execute advanced capacity steering activities and resource allocation strategies to dynamically meet market demands and support growth
  • Strategic Alignment: Align closely with business units on portfolio management, product life cycle management, and growth priorities from a manufacturing perspective
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with supply chain logistics and distribution teams when planning and implementing network optimization initiatives
  • Scalability and Flexibility: Create models for scalability and flexibility within manufacturing operations to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Risk Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, including risk mitigation strategies, scenario planning, and business continuity plans, ensuring integration across global manufacturing sites Your profile
    • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
    • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, network strategy, or related fields, preferably in progressively responsible roles within a global organization
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and strategic planning principles
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to oversee the implementation of network strategy and manufacturing footprint initiatives
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess operations, identify optimization opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively communicating strategies, building consensus among stakeholders, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically about long-term goals and align plans with the organization's overall strategy
    • Resilience and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs
