System Engineer Working Student/Intern (Manufacturing)

Starting date: as soon as possible
Contract type: Working student (20h/week) or internship (40h/week)
Work model: Munich, Germany
Salary range: €12-15/hour for Working Students (20h/week), €2,250/month for Interns (40h/week)


Please note: For this position, you must be officially enrolled in a German university.

Your role


You support our Systems Engineering team in assembly of product components for timely installation on customer sites, CAD design and prototyping for new applications. You bring a solid technical background especially in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, hands-on experience and organizational talent and confidence to talk to our suppliers and customers.

Your day-to-day

  • Assure successful systems installation by pre-assembling parts and remote support
  • Design in 3D and 2D models using CAD
  • Work on rapid prototyping (3D printing)
  • Communicate with suppliers on component design, interface definition and product improvement

Mechanical expertise

  • You know how to generate technical drawings for mechanical production
  • You are skilled in AutoDesk Fusion or any other CAD modeling software
  • You have hands-on experience with hand tools and electric tools (drill, saw)


Communication skills

  • You know how to communicate requirements and expectations to the supplier through written communication and face-to-face exchange
  • You speak English fluently
  • You are persistent and focused when solving problems

  • You know how to understand and generate electric diagrams
  • You have basic knowledge about the hardware components relevant to MRI scanning.
