The financial department plays a vital role in grant financial analysis and reporting to ensure data accuracy for decision-making.

Women for Women International (WfWI) is currently seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join their team. This role entails reporting to Global Finance with a secondary reporting line to the Managing Director in Germany.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for supporting the Germany Support Office, institutional budgeting, financial grants management, and reporting systems enhancement. Key duties include developing budget monitoring tools, providing financial analysis, and ensuring grants compliance. This role requires expertise in financial grant analysis, budget management, and capacity building. The preferred location is Berlin, Germany, but remote work options are available for qualified candidates fluent in German residing in Europe or the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

Germany Office Financial Management (30%)

  • Prepare monthly accounting and financial statements.
  • Support in the preparation of tax statements and annual financial audits.
  • Lead the process of payments and serve as the point of contact for external service providers.
  • Contribute to financial monitoring and reporting of third-party funds.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Budget Management (20%)

Lead proposal budget development and monitoring activities.

Enhance budget monitoring tools and coordination for accurate reporting.

Global Reporting (45%)

Prepare internal and consolidated monthly reports for the Leadership Team.

Develop financial reporting tools and assist in donor financial reporting.

Global Capacity Building (5%)

Provide financial management training to country offices and stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strong financial grant analysis experience, and proficiency in financial reporting tools. Additionally, excellent communication skills and a commitment to Women for Women International's mission are essential. Proficiency in German and English, along with 7-9 years of experience in financial management, is required.
