Reset is looking for an operations professional who is passionate about overseeing our diverse operations and enhancing our German-language capacity in administration and finance. This role will also involve building and sustaining a positive organizational culture within a global network of nonprofit organizations united by a common mission and structure. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Global Support Manager will be an integral part of the Operations Team within the Reset Tech network. We are seeking an Operations Manager who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and prioritizes a people-centered approach to operations.

The position is based in Berlin, Germany, and will operate at 50% of full-time equivalent (FTE). During the training period, it may be necessary to increase the workload to up to 75% FTE, subject to mutual agreement.All candidates invited to the first round of interviews will receive details about the prospective salary offer as part of the interview process.About us

Our mission is to support a "reset" of the relationship between media and democracy in the digital age to ensure that the public are more informed and less divided. We seek to neutralize the threats posed to democracy by digital media monopolies and restore the power of information technology as a force for effective self-government.

In practice, Reset is a hybrid organization. We are directly engaged in research, policy development and advocacy. We also serve as a multi-donor, managed fund using a directed investment model to redistribute the capital of its donor partners to highest and best use against a common strategy. Sitting within a federated structure of practitioners and aligned funders, the agility of this core fund is used to rapidly deploy networked capacity and expertise to capitalize on real-time developments in different parts of the world. We believe elevating the quality of the public debate and restoring a baseline of shared facts will make real progress more likely for every major challenge facing the world today -- from climate change to racial justice, economic inequality to public health.

Incubated at Luminate Foundation, Reset is now an independent, coordinated network of organizations operating around the world.Aufgaben
Position responsibilities

Maintain, evaluate, improve Reset's grants and contracts management system in collaboration with the Head of Technology Product and Lead Developer as well as offer first level support for our partners and team members;Maintain, evaluate and improve Reset's collaboration practices and tools in coordination with the Tech Team;Maintain, evaluate and improve Reset's expense management processes, practices and tools;Maintain, evaluate and improve Reset's people operations processes, practices and tools;Develop guides and FAQs to enhance user experience within a distributed team;Oversee administrative functions and serve as the Office Manager for the Berlin office; Support liaison with German-Language external finance and legal service providers such as bookkeepers, tax consultants and auditors to achieve financial management goals; Support liaison with German-Language external HR, facilities and communications service providers such payroll service providers to achieve operations management goals;Support the project management of Reset's team building opportunities within Germany;Share information and capabilities with colleagues on the Operations Team to help mitigate key person riskServe as a thought partner for colleagues on the Operations Team;Any other related tasks as assigned by the COO.Anforderungen
Your profilePost-secondary training and/or experience in administration and finance;Keen interest and experience with software and information systems management within a distributed team;Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and simultaneous deadlines while building rapport cross-functionally;High confidence with managerial skills for both in-house processes and relationships with external vendor partners;Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution;Highly-organized self-starter able to work independently;High degree of comfort in a start-up environment with a "hands-on" attitude to take on opportunities to increase experience and skills;Effective communicator with cultural sensitivity;English and German language proficiency are highly desirable.Benefits
